Evidence before ranking
Fixed trend, confirmed structure and 20-session breakout strategies use the final 35% of each history as a chronological holdout. Decisions use previous-session information and execute at the next open. Whole shares, 30 bps one-way fees, 10 bps slippage and a 1% trailing-volume capacity cap apply. Zero-volume and one-price sessions are unavailable for fills. These assumptions still omit real order queues, settlement, corporate actions and exact circuit limits.
Research gates require verified two-year exchange coverage, current end date, at least 200 observations, no unresolved conflicts and average 20-session traded value above BDT 1m. Selecting winners from many securities and strategies can inflate apparent performance. Win-rate intervals describe past closed trades using a Wilson 95% interval, with dependent returns limiting interpretation. A gate pass means data is sufficient for this research screen; it does not establish profitability. Conditions are descriptive counts, never confidence probabilities. Fourier performance is compared with a last-close baseline independently.
Strict five-candle swing points become available two observations after the pivot. A close beyond the latest unbroken swing triggers BOS; a reversal of the previous break direction triggers CHOCH. Order blocks use the latest opposite candle within 12 prior observations. Fair-value gaps use a three-candle imbalance; full traversal marks mitigation. Wick sweeps compare each session with the preceding 20 observations. These are OHLC-based hypotheses, not evidence of institutional orders or actual stop positions. Session gaps and corporate actions can produce misleading structures.

The vertical boundary separates observed prices from forecasts. Future axis uses session offsets; future exchange holidays are not assumed.
Withheld actual vs prior forecast
Each forecast is frozen before the displayed actual period begins. The observed prices in that period are excluded from model fitting.

How to interpret the models
Each model uses up to 128 observations, endpoint linear detrending and the 3, 6 or 9 strongest eligible Fourier components, anchored to the last observed close. The charts compare 30, 60 and 90 trading-observation horizons. Dashed reconstructions of observed history are in-sample fits, not historical forecasts. Rolling-origin validation uses disjoint future evaluation windows after a 128-observation warm-up, while training histories overlap.
MAE is reported in BDT for equities and index points for DSEX. The baseline holds the last known close constant. Future outcomes are unknown. No calibrated confidence probabilities are asserted; longer horizons can be especially unstable. Excluded non-trading candles compress the equity observation axis. DSEX retains its published daily index closes and is not filtered by the equity exclusions.

Signals at close → execution at next session open. 60-session warm-up. Fractional position sizing, no leverage, mark-to-market equity after estimated liquidation costs.
Single-symbol exploratory test. No corporate-action adjustment, settlement constraints, lot size, price-limit fill model or market impact. No optimization or claim of an investable edge. Buy-and-hold comparison includes the same entry/exit costs.
